What are the FreshStart New Home Grant eligibility requirements?
To be eligible to receive the FreshStart New Home Grant, you must be building or buying a new home and meet the following criteria:
- You are at least 18 years of age
- You are an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- You are not a first-home buyer
- You are an owner-builder
- You are making an off-the-plan property purchase
- You are signing the contract for your new build between 1 October 2024 and 30 September 2026
- You will live in the home for at least 12 months after taking possession of the property
What are the FreshStart New Home Grant property price limits?
The FreshStart New Home Grant does not have a cap on the build or purchase price of the new home.

The FreshStart New Homes Grand can be used with other incentives, such as the House and Land Package Exemption – a stamp duty exemption for purchasing a house & land package.
