Shawn was a pleasure to deal with. He was professional, knowledgeable, responsive and took away the hassle of liaising with the bank. He guided us throughout our transaction, and worked seamlessly with our conveyancer and bank. I would work with Shawn again, and would be happy to refer him to others.
We have been with Shaun for close to 18 years during which time he has helped with at least half a dozen mortgages and many more refinancing efforts - and he is always incredibly helpful and diligent.

We had a smooth transition from ing to anz over many months. We weren’t in a hurry and Shawn fitted in with our timeframes. We did have one loan moved from ing to anz which wasn’t meant to have been moved and now have $200k+ in a higher interest facility at anz.
David was always there if I needed help, contact me via email or phone. David explained everything for me and clarified every question I had during the process.
David kept constant communication with us and made what we believe was every effort to get us the right deal.

Our loans got refinanced and for some reason our loans are now in limbo, until settlement, which looks to be september. The problem is we have all our money in the loans and we were not told when the loans were being re-financed. So we have very little money until payday about 3 weeks later

Whilst David always responded in a timely manner and kept us updated throughout the process, I was not at all happy with the service we received. I will be following this up with a summary of events from our perspective as soon as I have a full picture of the costs we incurred due to settlement being 1 week late.
Shawn was most helpful, especially after my apartment purchase, I experienced some drama's from another broker, but Shawn was able to go through step by step from the start and explained the full process and provided me with every option. As a retired professional from the old school (graduated 1960 - and retired 7 years ago) I am not comfortable about having my name used for marketing. But for your interest: My adviser was able to turn my life around by me being able to refurbish my home to encourage inviting children, grandchildren and friends to stay with me. A large sum was not required for furnishings, etc., but the mortgage allowed me the freedom to go ahead without stress.
We had a challenging financial & investment situation which David sorted for us in a very stress free cheerful manner.we could not have got to this point without his expertise

The only reason why I noted a 9 is that although David was impressively proactive in forwarding required documents 3 weeks before, the bank said they had not received them. Could I suggest a phone call to confirm the bank has received any documents and a name. I do not think a fax no confirmation is helpful in a total sense as they can deny they received it still.

David is very professional and excellent at what he does. He contacted us regularly updating us on the status of our application. We have absolutely no hesitation recommending David to family and friends.
Attention to detail, computers have spell check, speaking in clients terms not finacial abreviations would help all adviser and clients. David is a good guy that appears to eventually get the client over the line but I think we possed to many question that were differant to most. Summary Job well done in the end as our case was very unique.
David was very good. Patient and understanding. He followed up after settlement and after we moved into our new home. Maybe a little more attention to detail.

David was personable, professional and nothing was too much trouble. Without David, we would not have got the loan so we are very grateful for his time and service. PS the only comment I would like to make is with regard to the phone call to confirm the payment date by Smartline - I understand that Jessica Sui was following her list of requirements but I don't appreciate being asked if we have the money to pay make the first payment - I previously had various mortgages over 20 plus year and never missed a payment- it's quite unnecessary and puts people off side.
To say that Shaun has been a fantastic help to me would be an understatement! He cares...and that is the difference. He knows his stuff,is patient,always delivers what he offers,communictes exceptionally well,is honest when there is an issue we need to work thru and I feel reassured that my financal options are in great hands.This leaves me free to get on with other matters. Shawn organized our loan in a very short time frame with minimal effort from ourselves. He also restructured our existing finance, saving us a considerable amount in interest. He kept me informed throughout the loan application and approval process. I would recommend Shawn to anyone requiring finance.

As a discharged bankrupt I wasn't very confident about getting a home loan and after speaking to numerous lenders I was resigned to the fact that if I did get a loan I would have to pay extremely high interest rates.(approx 12%)Shawn French told me he could get me a loan with one of the big 4 banks at normal interest rates.Much to the delight of my wife and myself Shawn did exactly what he said he would do and now we are living in our dream house.Words cant express how grateful we are to Shawn and Smartline for doing the impossible.I cant recommend Shawn highly enough.Many thanks,Doug Robinson.Diamond Creek.

When our loan application fell through with M.E. Bank, I called Nigel,our estate agent & advised him that we couldnt buy the house we wanted. Nigel put me on to Shawn who not only effected our loan expediently, he had all the paperwork done & explained it all to us in step by step explanations. This loan application was a long and involved process that was frustrated by Bankwest's delaying tactics. Whilst Bankwest's customer service was disgraceful, David was patient and very professional in his handling of this matter.

David worked very hard for us, and even after the sale when there were some issues in regard to our stamp duty he went in to bat for us and delivered what we were after.
