As my advisor knew, I was switchman form one bank to another for my new mortgage, and also had different conveyancers for the property i was selling and the one i was buying. i sold my property and purchased a new property two days later. Unfortunately my advisor and neither conveyancer advised me that unless a special request was put in to clear the cheque quickly / immediately the cheque would take 3 days to clear. Because of this, on the morning of my settlement I was informed that settlement would not be able to proceed due to the cheque not having cleared. In hindsight i would have expected to be warned of this by my advisor - I've never bought and sold a house before, so had no clue about such things. Second time I have done a home loan with Sharon. Had to delay this one pending a possible job change (location change). Sharon was patient as I flipped back and fourth with our plans, encouraging us not to proceed at one stage based on the details we had at the time.
