What is refinancing or re-pricing?

Refinancing is when you move from one lender to another, usually to make the most of a lower interest rate, better feature or improved structure. With so many lenders out there, it's in your interest to keep your lender working hard for your business by looking at what competitors have to offer.

Re-pricing on the other hand is when we go to your current lender and ask for an immediate discount on your interest rate. This is usually our first step in the process, because it might be easier for you to re-price than refinance (for now). But often the lender's aren't willing to discount much for their existing customers.

Step 1: A free review of your loan

Our first step will be have a chat about your loan so I can understand what your goals are - whether it's to save money, pay off your loan quickly, review your fixed rate period or access equity. That way, I know what I'm aiming for! I will then compare your current loan with others on the market to see if there's a better deal available. I negotiate with the lenders, because I know when they can do better.

Step 2: Mapping out your options

Once I know what's available to you, we will sit down to chat through your options, the costs of refinancing and what benefits it could have in the long run. We might have a re-pricing option from your current lender on the table too, so we will review the pros and cons of all your options.

Step 3: Managing your refinance

If you decide to go ahead with refinancing your loan, I will manage the entire process including switching your loan to a different lender, the application submission and keeping you updated. You can enjoy the benefits of knowing your loan is the right one for you.
