Welcome to my New Year Finance Resolutions series - 5 simple tips in 5 weeks, that can make a real difference to your personal wealth.
While our focus is find the best mortgages and home loans for your circumstances, this is only one aspect of your personal wealth.
We've already covered Tip 1 - Set a budget and stick to it and Tip 2 - Get on Top of Your Debts and Tip 3 - Sort out your Mortgage.
Tip No.4 - Sort out your Super
Superannuation is critical to your retirement....and for many people all too easy to ignore before then! To ensure you super is on track to support your retirement (even if that's many years away), pay a little attention to it, at least once each year.
What are the basics I should check? The basics are does my super fund have my correct details? Are my employer contributions being paid in to the correct account? Are my insurance beneficiaries correct? Have I consolidated my various funds? Am I with a well performing, low-fee super fund?
Do I have enough Super? Your super fund will probably give you an estimate of how much pension would be available to you through their fund.
What are the 4 Key life events to review my super? If you are experiencing any of these 4 key life events, check your super to make sure it is responsive to your new situation. Changes in family structure (marriage, separation, babies), buying a house, changing jobs, or receiving a financial windfall will all impact your finances.
If you have any questions about your mortgage or debts, please book an appointment with me.
