After 30 years in finance, I can still confidently say: I love what I do! I started my career in the graduate program at NAB, before moving into roles at both ASX and Macquarie Bank. I then dedicated the next decade to my own financial advice business and helping my clients plan for their financial future. I went on to a full time role as both lecturer and head of the Financial Planning Program at QUT.
But I missed being one-on-one with clients and putting their goals into actionable, strategic plans. Now, as a Mortgage Broker, I get to work with clients everyday and help them achieve their next property goals. I'm also able to use my years of experience and know-how, to help clients understand how their home loan fits into their finances as a whole, ensuring we can plan better for the future.
On top of that, I'm a born problem-solver; for me, it's always about the nail. I am an excellent listener and able to quickly understand what a client is looking for. My career and life experience, along with my academic background provides me with the knowledge and skills to identify genuine solutions.
Outside of Mortgage Broking, I am married with two daughters in their early 20s. I'm an active person and enjoy cycling, snow skiing, especially ski-touring and surfing. I'm also a long-suffering Qld Reds supporter, a frequently happy Maroons supporter, a usually happy Broncos and Brisbane Lions supporter.
