Working in the Health Industry?

 

Many lenders offer incentives and benefits to people in varying fields.

 

It's important to conduct some research of your own to have a basic understanding of what sort of home loan options are available, how much you can borrow and of course, what extra entitlements you may have access too. 

In the Allied Health industry, some lenders will waive Lenders Mortgage Insurance (LMI) costs, waive application or annual package fees.

 

Example: 

A new home purchase for $600,000 in Victoria, borrowing up to 95% (loan of $570,000), you would have approx. $18,000 - $35,000 LMI.

LMI usually applies as soon as you borrow more than 80% of the purchase price/valuation, it’s calculated on a sliding scale, as your LVR % increases and your loan amount increases, so  does the LMI.

 

Did you know LMI also varies between lenders?

Some lenders allow for LMI exemptions depending upon your occupation. Eg; Anyone employed in the health industry may be eligible for LMI exemptions up to 85% LVR, Registered nurses can get LMI waived up to 90% & some Doctors/Dentists/Specialists exempt up to 95% LVR*
