We had a great experience, I think the only thing to note is each individual bank has their own service time line for discharge, so this pushed our settlement back a month but in future we’ll be more prepared knowing this information sooner. :)

Jon was fantastic. I could not sing his praises enough. At all points he was clear and communicated well. He listened and understood my needs and is wonderfully warm and supportive. It didn’t all go smoothly where the bank was involved but Jon was on top of it the whole way. And it was comforting to know he was just as frustrated with the bank as I was.

This is the 2nd time that I have used Smartline and in particular Emmanuel De Guzman.
Both times have been a seamless and efficient process.
It was not just Emmanuel's knowledge of the process but his personal relationship with Bank Manager's that made this possible.
Our circumstances required some lateral thinking and Emmanuel was able to understand them and provide us with options that met our requirements.

Education on the details of the transaction process and who's responsibility those are. While those within the industry all know who is responsible for what at each step through the process, from the outside its a minefield of self interested parties who assume you will know the ins and outs.... Its an unrealistic expectation as its virtually impossible to source the information from a single site on the web. I know - I looked & research is what I do for a living!

Jon got me a great deal and provided the service you always hope for but don't usually get.
Jon provided a very efficient service. We had a few hiccups with the bank getting the correct paperwork to us, and there were moments when we thought the loan would not be approved to meet settlement date. Jon ensured the application was pushed through in time keeping us informed along the way. I would definitely recommend Smartline to friends and family as it provided us with peace of mind as we achieved our next life goal of buying a house.
This is our second home loan with Jon within a period of 6 years. First we bought a 3 bedroom townhouse and then upgraded to a 4 bedroom house, keeping the townhouse as an investment property. Over this period he was always available for a quick chat whenever we need advise with our circumstance. He is very knowledgeable and is straightforward with his advice which we liked. Jon and I also share the same Filipino heritage which I guess makes him easier to approach. I would gladly recommend Jon to friends and family.

Most like the fact that with all the current rises in interest rates, even after our home loan has settled, our broker is still looking out for us and advising us if we should be looking for/getting a better deal elsewhere.

With regard to stamp duty on our loan, with a pre-existing loan that we have already paid stamp duty on have been told some companies transfer stamp duty so it does not have to be paid again...Is this correct? Some feedback would be appreciated.
