I highly recommend Bruce and Jackie as they went above and beyond to provide a solution for a tricky transfer matter. Having the right broker makes all the difference and they made the path to settlement seamless for us. Our settlement agent also praised Bruce as he made her part as smooth as possible. Having a broker from Margaret river and us in Perth we do not feel any impacts with our level of service. Big thanks to Bruce for all his efforts in this matter.

Bruce and Jackie are thorough and very helpful. Even with a difficult FIFO schedule, they made our new loan easy to sort out and finalize. Will be seeing them for any other finance needs later in life.
I found the whole process from initial enquiry to refinance approval to be a first class service. Bruce and Jacky were easy to contact and answer any questions I had. I now have a much better loan that suits my needs and has reduced my payments.
Takes away the need to spend countless hours trying to work out a) the jargon of the home loan system and b) which is the best course of action. Communication always great too. Thanks.

Bruce and Jacky Downing went above and beyond to get us our loan for our "Forever Home!".
My husband is self employed which with a few other factors such as also having to refinance our investment house at the same time (Since our old bank wouldn't lend for our residential house due to its location) caused more than a few issues.
Bruce and Jacky worked tirelessly through all this -- obtaining two new loans - at great rates (the investment one beating our original loan by heaps and making the break loan cost easier to stomach !).

Bruce navigated the complex world of home loans and managed to get my finance approved despite all the odds. Without his assistance, I have no doubt that my house purchase would have fallen through. I have already been recommending him to others, and will continue to do so.

Because my husband is an xpat working in New Guinea and he pays tax there also we found it difficult to get a loan through the banks, One bank didn’t bother getting back to us at all. Our only debt was $4000 and we owned everything else and have never had a bad debt record. We went guarantors for my nephew who went through Smartline to get a loan about 2 years ago. I decided to call on Bruce as I had had enough of waiting for the banks. Bruce was onto it quick smart. Within a day or two he had 2 financial institutes that would fund us. I must add also we live in QLD and Bruce is in WA. Be prepared for scanning and emailing documents and keep onto it, the sooner you send them the sooner you get your loan. Bruce and his wife Jackie kept us informed during the whole process. They were very thorough and so easy to deal with. Bruce always gave explicit instructions and supported us all the way through on what to do and he was easy to understand. We are so grateful to you Bruce. We highly recommend Bruce Downing, Smartline and we wish you and Jackie all the best.
Jackie and Bruce were amazing! Nothing was too much trouble, even when we dragged our kids along to an appointment they were accommodating and patient.

Strong attention to detail

The only problem was a misunderstanding about the amounts for each loan that has had to be changed after settlement incurring a cost for us. I dont recall being asked how we would like the loans to be. Bruce said he had told us he would sent the docs for our approval and no comment would mean we agreed. We did not read these these till after they were submitted. Just a misunderstanding. We picked it up and tried to change before settlement but that was going to take three weeks and there wasn't enough time.
Special mention to Jacky who was also fantastic.
Having utilised the services of Bruce & Jackie prior we don't bother looking elsewhere. We found the best there is in this team. Have and will continue to recommend them to anyone in the market for finance of any description. Tops!
